Hootsuite alternatives for Dubai marketing teams
ยท Guides
Six Hootsuite alternatives for Dubai teams, with starting prices checked 23 October 2026, who each one suits and a short guide to choosing between them.
If Hootsuite feels too expensive or too heavy for your Dubai team, the closest alternatives are Agorapulse for an inbox-led workflow, Planable for approval-led teams, Metricool or Buffer for tight budgets, Sendible for agencies with many clients, and Wisp for Gulf brands that want named approvals and a UAE and KSA calendar. The right one depends on why you are leaving, so this guide starts with the reasons teams give. Prices were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 23 October 2026.
How this guide was made. Waggle makes Wisp, so we have a stake in this list, and we say where Wisp falls short. For every other tool we read plan names, starting prices in US dollars and listed networks from the vendor's own pricing page on 23 October 2026 and wrote our own summary. Where a page did not print a figure we say so. Prices change often, so check the page before you buy.
Reason one: price per seat. Hootsuite prices Standard, Professional and Advanced per user per month. Its page says paid plans start at $99 for Standard, $199 for Professional and go up to $399 for Advanced, with prices based on annual billing. On that basis five users on Standard come to $495 a month before taxes, and the bill grows each time you add a seat. For a small team with one or two brands that can be more than the work needs, and for a large team with many accounts it can be fair value.
Reason two: approvals sit high up. Hootsuite's page puts reviewing and approving content on its Advanced plan, so a team that needs sign-off before posting looks at the top public price, which the page says goes up to $399 per user per month. If your brand manager, legal reviewer or client only needs to approve and not publish, ask how the vendor counts that person's seat before you commit.
Reason three: more tool than you use. Hootsuite covers publishing, an inbox, benchmarking, listening, forecasting and custom reports. That breadth is a strength when a team uses it and a cost when it does not. Teams that mostly plan, approve and publish for a few brands often look for something narrower.
Reason four: the Gulf calendar and language. Hootsuite's plans page did not mention a UAE or KSA holiday calendar or Arabic support when we read it, and none of the other competitor pages we read did either. That does not mean the products cannot do it, only that the pages do not say, so ask during a trial. Check how each tool handles the UAE weekend of Saturday and Sunday and Saudi Arabia's Friday and Saturday, and test an Arabic caption.
When Hootsuite is still the right call. If you manage many accounts, want listening and benchmarking in the same place and have the budget for seats, Hootsuite's Professional plan offers unlimited social accounts and a 14-day free trial with no card. Switching tools has a real cost in retraining and lost history, so if the current setup works and the price is acceptable, staying put is a reasonable decision.
Agorapulse. Suits teams that live in the inbox. Standard is $79 per user per month on annual billing, or $99 billed monthly, with 10 social profiles. Professional is $119 or $149 and Advanced is $149 or $199, and a Custom tier adds unlimited profiles, single sign-on and multi-step approval workflows (checked 23 October 2026). The trial is 30 days with no card. Pricing is per user like Hootsuite and lower at each listed step on annual billing, though Hootsuite's Professional and Advanced allow unlimited accounts while Agorapulse's lower tiers include 10 profiles.
Planable. Suits agencies and brand teams that need clients or managers to review work. Pricing is per workspace, where a workspace is one client, brand or location with its own calendar, team and approval flow. Basic is $33 per workspace per month with 4 social pages, Pro is $49 with 10 social pages, both with unlimited users, and Enterprise is custom (checked 23 October 2026). Required approvals are on Pro and multi-level approvals on Enterprise. There is no permanent free plan, and the trial is 50 posts with no card. Limits: post caps per workspace per month, and the inbox and analytics are paid add-ons.
Metricool. Suits freelancers and agencies with many small brands. There is a free plan for 1 brand, Starter begins at $20 a month on annual billing or $25 monthly for up to 5 brands, and Advanced begins at $53 annual or $67 monthly for up to 15 brands (checked 23 October 2026). Advanced lists team and client management, role management and a post approval system. Limits: X needs an add-on, LinkedIn is not on the free plan, and the page we read did not state a free trial.
Buffer. Suits small teams that want a simple scheduler. There is a free plan with up to 3 channels and 1 user. Essentials is $5 per channel per month and Team is $10 per channel per month with unlimited team members and approval workflows on its feature list (checked 23 October 2026), with a 14-day trial on paid plans. Limits: pricing per channel makes a brand with many accounts cost more, and it does not price by brand or client.
Sendible. Suits agencies running many client workspaces. Its page says unlimited users are included on every plan, and the Core plan starts from $35 a month with 1 workspace and 6 social profiles. The page also shows higher tiers, with Elite from $349 a month and Enterprise from $800 a month (checked 23 October 2026), a 14-day free trial with no card and a 15% saving on yearly billing. It highlights client connect, so clients can link accounts without sharing passwords, and white label options. Check the pricing page for the figures of the plans in between.
Wisp. Suits Gulf brands and agencies that want a UAE and KSA calendar, named approvals and a Dubai team. Creator is $29 a month, Pro $79, Growth $249 and Agency $499, and annual billing is 12% lower (checked 23 October 2026). Wisp prices a workspace rather than a seat, and each plan lists its seats, connected profiles and image credits on the pricing page. Creator and Pro open with a 7-day trial, with a card at checkout. Approvals, roles and Brand Kit start on Pro, and multi-stage approvals and pooled usage are on Growth and Agency. Nothing auto-publishes, every post is bound to the exact account chosen, and one post can go to 2 to 10 accounts at once.
More about Wisp. The calendar carries UAE and KSA holidays and weekends, there is an Instagram inbox for comments and DMs, the team offers WhatsApp support from Dubai, and a ChatGPT app listed as Wisp by Waggle runs the same workspace with the same approval gates. Where Wisp falls short: it is younger than Hootsuite and has fewer channels, with no X, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads or Bluesky today. Snapchat is in review, new TikTok accounts post privately until TikTok finishes reviewing the app, and LinkedIn Company Pages open as LinkedIn extends access. If those networks are central to your plan, stay with a larger tool.
Decision guide: cost and approvals. If the problem is cost per seat, compare workspace-priced tools such as Planable, Sendible and Wisp, or channel-priced Buffer, but price each one for your real team, because those prices rise with clients and accounts instead of people. If the problem is approvals, Planable puts required approvals on Pro, Buffer lists approval workflows on Team, Metricool on Advanced and Wisp from Pro, with multi-stage approvals on Growth and Agency. Agorapulse lists multi-step approvals on its Custom tier.
Decision guide: inbox, calendar and networks. If the problem is the inbox, Agorapulse is built around it and Wisp covers Instagram comments and DMs. If the problem is the Gulf calendar, ask every vendor about UAE and KSA holidays during the trial, and note that Wisp has them built in. If you need X, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads or Bluesky today, Buffer, Metricool and Agorapulse list them on their pages and Wisp does not yet.
A two week test. Pick two alternatives and keep Hootsuite running. Move one brand or one market across, schedule the same real posts in both tools, run an Arabic post and a mixed-language post, send one post through approval and ask support one question. Compare how long each step took and what each plan would cost for your real team, then decide. Note your saved replies, hashtags and templates before you switch, because not everything may move across tools.
Next steps. Check each vendor's pricing page for current figures, and read our side-by-side with Hootsuite, our page for brand teams and our page for agencies if you want to see how Wisp would fit. Our pricing page lists every plan and what it includes.
