TikTok approves Wisp by Waggle: what changes and what comes next
· Product
TikTok approved our app under the Wisp by Waggle name on 28 October 2026. Here is what that means for TikTok posts from Wisp today, what is still under review, and the networks we are opening next.
TikTok has approved Wisp by Waggle. On 28 October 2026 TikTok's developer team moved our app, now under the Wisp name, from review to live in production. When you connect a TikTok account to Wisp, TikTok's own permission screen now names Wisp by Waggle, and every video you send from Wisp goes through TikTok's official Content Posting API.
What the approval covers
The approval is for the two TikTok products Wisp uses, under the new name, web address and privacy policy:
- Sign in with TikTok. You connect the exact TikTok account you want to post to, on TikTok's own screen, and Wisp never sees your password.
- Direct posting. Wisp sends the finished video to TikTok for you, with the privacy, comment, duet, stitch and commercial disclosure choices you made on that post.
If you already connected TikTok to Wisp, you do not need to do anything. The app is the same one, only its name and address changed, so existing connections keep working.
How TikTok posting works in Wisp today
- Connect your TikTok account on the Connections page.
- Build the video post in the Content Studio and place it on the calendar next to the rest of the brand's month.
- Choose the privacy and disclosure settings TikTok asks for. Wisp records them with the post rather than filling in defaults.
- Send it to a named approver. Approval never publishes on its own.
- At the scheduled time Wisp sends the video to the exact account you chose and checks TikTok's processing status before it reports the post as done.
The TikTok scheduling page shows the current review state, so you can always read where things stand instead of guessing.
Limits worth knowing
- Posts stay private (visible only to the account owner) until TikTok's direct posting review is complete.
- TikTok offers no way for apps to delete a published video, so remove a video in the TikTok app if you need to.
- TikTok analytics are not in Wisp yet, because they need permissions TikTok has not granted us.
What comes next
TikTok is one of several networks we are working on. Here is where each one stands today. We do not give dates, because each network's own review decides the timing.
| Network | Where it stands |
|---|---|
| TikTok public posts | TikTok is reviewing direct posting; posts are private until it finishes |
| Threads | Connecting and publishing work; we are testing on our own accounts before opening it to customers |
| Boards and Pins work in Pinterest's test environment; we are applying for the access Pinterest requires before customer Pins can go live | |
| YouTube | Being built now |
| Bluesky | Next after YouTube |
| Snapchat | Coming soon, pending Snapchat's review |
| LinkedIn Company Pages | Reaching customer Pages as LinkedIn extends our access |
Instagram, Facebook Pages and personal LinkedIn profiles publish today, alongside TikTok. If you would rather connect your own tools, the Wisp API is included on the Pro, Growth and Agency plans.
Common questions
Can Wisp post publicly to TikTok now?
Not yet. TikTok posts privately until TikTok finishes reviewing the app for direct posting. The approval this week covers the app under its new name; the direct posting review is a separate step that is still under way.
Do I need to reconnect my TikTok account?
No. TikTok approved a new version of the same app, so connections made before the rename keep working.
When will Threads, Pinterest and YouTube open?
When each one is ready and, for Pinterest, when Pinterest grants the access it requires. We will post here as each network opens.
