White Friday social media plan for UAE and Saudi brands

ยท Guides

A week-by-week White Friday plan for UAE and Saudi brands, built around Black Friday on 27 November 2026. Retailer dates are not yet announced.

Plan White Friday backwards from Friday 27 November 2026, which is Black Friday and the date the regional sales are built around. Start now: decide offers and build creative over the next two weeks, run teasers the week of 9 November, give your best customers early access the week of 16 November, go live on 27 November, keep the weekend going, finish on Cyber Monday, 30 November, and then turn to UAE National Day on Wednesday 2 December. When we checked on 23 October 2026 we found no official 2026 dates from noon or Amazon.ae, so keep the plan flexible by a few days.

What is confirmed. Black Friday is the Friday after US Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November, so in 2026 Thanksgiving is Thursday 26 November, Black Friday is Friday 27 November and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Amazon's advertising guide says White Friday began in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and describes it as tied to the Friday after Thanksgiving. What is not confirmed is when noon's Yellow Friday and the Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa White Friday sales will start and end. A seller guide that checked on 11 October 2026 found the Amazon pages carried a 2026 title but no dates, and we found nothing official from noon.

How the last sales ran. Amazon.ae's White Friday sale ran from 20 to 30 November 2025, according to its press release as reprinted by Observer Dubai, and noon's Yellow Friday ran from 20 to 30 November 2025 in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, according to Gulf Business. That was a Thursday start eight days before Black Friday on 28 November and an end on Sunday 30 November. Amazon's advertising guide gives a shorter pattern for earlier years, listing 24 to 27 November for 2024, so the length varies from year to year.

When dates get announced. Retailers have not followed one schedule. A trade report dated 3 November 2021 announced noon's Yellow Friday dates for that year, 22 to 28 November, while the Amazon.ae press release and the Gulf Business report for 2025 are both dated 20 November, the opening day. So do not wait for an announcement. As a planning assumption based on last year's pattern, treat Thursday 19 November 2026 as an early possible start, build your calendar so every post can move by a few days, and add the official dates the moment they appear.

Plan by market. The UAE weekend is Saturday and Sunday and Saudi Arabia's is Friday and Saturday, so the same Friday does not feel the same in both markets. If you run a UAE account and a KSA account, schedule each in its own time zone, Asia/Dubai and Asia/Riyadh, and write separate offers where delivery, currency (AED or SAR) or terms differ.

Week 1, Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November: decide. Agree the offer, the stock behind it and a one-sentence description in English and Arabic. Name one person who signs off every price claim, list which accounts need their own version, such as a UAE account and a KSA account, and set a creative deadline. If you sell through a marketplace, check its seller deadlines now. One seller guide said deal submissions for Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa close on 19 November 2026, so confirm the real date in Seller Central.

Week 2, 2 to 8 November: build. Produce the key visual, a Reel, a carousel and Stories for each phase, and write English and Arabic captions from the same brief. Send the teaser and early access posts to your approvers by the end of the week, so they are approved and scheduled before the busy weeks start. Keep exact prices out of drafts until finance confirms them.

Week 3, 9 to 15 November: teasers. Start a countdown, preview the categories, and give people a reason to join your early access list, for example by sending a WhatsApp message to your business number or replying to a post. Do not publish a discount you have not confirmed, because a corrected price is harder to fix than a late one. Post marketplace dates as soon as they are announced.

Week 4, 16 to 22 November: early access. Open early access to your list, your followers or your loyalty members, and post a clear message on how it works. On last year's pattern marketplace sales could start as early as Thursday 19 or Friday 20 November, so check marketplaces and competitors daily and be ready to bring your own start forward. Check stock on your hero products at the midpoint of the week.

Week 5, 23 to 26 November: final countdown. Post reminders, a tomorrow post and a last stock check. Write short saved answers for the questions you will get on the day: delivery time, returns, sizes, availability and payment options. Decide who covers comments, DMs and WhatsApp on Friday and Saturday, and who is allowed to pause or edit a post if stock runs out.

The day, Friday 27 November: go live. Publish at the times you set for each market and then check that each post went to the right account. Keep new posting light, because most of the work today is answering questions and watching stock. Have a short sold out post and a back in stock post ready and already approved, so you can react in minutes.

The weekend, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November. Run a second wave: best sellers, bundles, last chance reminders and customer photos if you have permission to use them. Sunday 29 November is a weekend day in the UAE but a working day in Saudi Arabia, so a KSA account can post a reminder at the start of its work week.

Cyber Monday, 30 November: last chance. Say plainly whether your offer ends on Sunday night or on Monday, in both languages, in every post. Thank buyers, share a quick update on what sold out, and stop countdowns the moment the offer ends so that National Day content has room.

UAE National Day, Wednesday 2 December 2026. Gulf News, in an article published on 19 August 2026 and last updated on 19 October 2026, reported that the holiday is expected on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 December and said the arrangements should not be treated as confirmed until the authorities announce them. Prepare National Day content as its own project, approved before the sale peaks so the team is not drafting it on 1 December, and check the final holiday dates before you schedule.

Approval and scheduling tips. Name one approver for every price claim and a second reviewer for anything that mentions a discount, a delivery promise or a stock level. Approve in batches by phase so a late change affects one batch. Schedule each market in its own time zone, check the destination account on every post before approving, and keep a short list of who can edit or pause posts during the sale. In Wisp, drafts go to a named approver and nothing auto-publishes, which suits a week like this.

Arabic and English. Write both versions from one brief instead of translating at the end, and have a native Arabic reader approve the Arabic. Check that numbers, currency (AED or SAR), dates and the offer end time match in both languages, and look at each post in its preview to confirm right-to-left text reads correctly. If a UAE offer and a KSA offer differ, publish separate posts for each market instead of one post with a footnote.

WhatsApp and the inbox. Shoppers often ask about availability, delivery and sizes in comments, DMs and WhatsApp. Write saved answers in both languages and assign shifts for 27 and 28 November. Wisp does not publish to WhatsApp, so run any WhatsApp broadcasts in your own WhatsApp Business tools and put their dates in the same calendar as your posts. Instagram comments and DMs can be handled in the Wisp inbox.

Where Wisp fits. The calendar shows UAE and KSA holidays and weekends, and you add White Friday and Cyber Monday as your own events, so the whole sale and National Day sit in one view. Drafts go to a named approver, nothing auto-publishes, and each post is bound to the exact account you chose. One post can go to 2 to 10 accounts at once, with a shared caption or one caption per account, which helps when a UAE and a KSA account run the same offer in different words. Wisp has fewer channels than the big suites, with no X, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads or Bluesky today, and new TikTok accounts post privately until TikTok finishes reviewing the app.

After the sale. In the first week of December, go through the comments, DMs and WhatsApp questions you collected and note what shoppers asked for, which posts they reacted to and which offers confused them. Use your own account numbers to judge results, and keep the notes for next year's plan.
